24-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay(off South Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu Coasts) still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach Southwest Bay of Bengal(near North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India) during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan and Chin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below February average temperature in Taninthayi Region and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Hakha, (7°C) each in Pinlaung and Heho.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th February, 2017: Weather will be partly cloudy in Nay Pyi Taw, Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan and Chin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Kachin State.
