SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been scattered in Shan State, isolated in Kayah State, weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below February average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (4°C) above February average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) in Hakha and (6°C) each in Pinlaung and Heho. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Mine Yang (0.59) inch, Minesat (0.35) inch, Kengtung (0.16) inch, Pinlaung (0.08)inch and Loilin (0.04)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th February, 2017: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Shan (East and South) State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and Kayah State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
