SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain has been isolated in Taninthayi Region, weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Kachin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (5°C) above January average temperature in Kayah State, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Rakhine and Mon States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (3°C)each in Putao and Hakha and (6°C) in Machanbaw. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded was Kawthong (0.08)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th January, 2017: Rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
