SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain has been isolated light rain in Taninthayi Region, weather has been in partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan and Chin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperature was (3°C) below January average temperatures in Kachin State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (2°C) each in Putao, Pinlaung and Heho, (4°C) each in Namsam and Moekok and (5°C) in Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th January, 2017: Rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
