BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Andaman Sea and adjoining Taninthayi coast still persists. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th January, 2017: Rain will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kayin and Mon States, isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan and Kayah States, Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Rakhine, Kachin and Chin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of rain in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
