BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area overSouth Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is forecast to further intensify into a depression during next (48)hrs. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair over elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th January, 2017: Rain will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region,isolated in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kachin,Shan, Chin, Kayah and kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off andalong Mon - Taninthayi Coast.Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewherein Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of decreases of night temperature in Upper Sagaing, Kachin,Shan and Chin States.
