SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain has been isolated in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State, weather has been generally fair in Kayah, Kyain and Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (5°C) above December average temperatures in Kachin and Southern Shan States, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan (North and East), Rakhine, Kayah and Mon States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures was (4°C) in Hakha. The noteworthy amounts of rainfalls recorded were Coco Island (0.43)inch and Kawthong (0.08)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th December, 2016: Light rain is likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
