Cyclonic storm
According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the cyclonic storm “VARDAH” over Southeast Bay of Bengal moved northwards. It is centered at about (540)miles Southeast of Vishakhapatnam (India), (600)miles Southeast of Machilipatnam, (130)miles West-northwest of Port Blair (India) and (210)miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar). It is forecast to move Northwest wards.It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the cyclonic storm is coded yellow stage.

Cyclonic storm is located at Latitude (12.0) degree North and Longitude (90.5) degree East, Centre pressure of cyclonic storm is (997) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is about (50) miles per hour at (06:30) hrs MST today.

It is forecast to further intensify into a severe cyclonic storm during next (24)hrs.
General caution
Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h.
