SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain has been scattered in Taninthayi Region, weather has been generally fair in Magway Region, Kachin and Chin States and partly cloudy to cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Bago Region, (Eastern and Southern) Shan, Kayah and Kayin States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha and (5°C) in Naungcho. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Kawthong (0.70)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, a low pressure area over South Andaman sea still persists. It may further intensify into a depression during next (12)hrs. Weather is cloudy over Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th December, 2016: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Easterly squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in easterly squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
