SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been isolated in Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State and partly cloudy to cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (5°C) above December average temperature in Southern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah and Mon States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperature were (9°C) each in Naungcho and Hakah, (10°C) each in Putao and Moekok. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Kawthong (0.67)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over South Andaman Sea. It is forecast to further intensify into a depression during next (24)hrs. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th December, 2016: Isolated rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States and weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Easterly squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in easterly squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
