SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been scattered in Taninthayi Regions and partly cloudy to cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (5°C) above December average temperature in Rakhine State, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Shan, Chin and Kahay States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperature was (9°C) each in Pinlaung and Naungcho and (10°C) each in Hakah, Pyinoolwin and Moekok. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Kawthong (0.95)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area may form over the South Andaman Sea during next (24) hours. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea, Southeast and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy over the elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th December, 2016: Likelihood of scattered rain in Taninthayi Region, isolated rain in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayin and Mon States and weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Easterly squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in easterly squall may reach (35)m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
