BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd June, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough Seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts. Surfacewind speed in squalls may reach (30- 35)m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 -9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (5- 7) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
