SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy to cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, Fairly widespread in Chin State, Scattered in (Northern and Eastern)Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below November average temperatures in Northern Shan State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (12°C)each in Loilin and Hkamti. The noteworthy amounts of rainfalls recorded were Pyinoolwin (2.00)inches, Lashio (0.83)inch, Coco-Island (0.59)inch and Mindat (0.56)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal. It is forecast to further intensify into a depression during next (24)hrs. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd November, 2016: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf off Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35)m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar water.
