BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the cyclonic storm over the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal “KYANT” has moved to West-Southwest. It is centered at about (485)miles West-Southwest of Pathein, (480)miles West-Southwest of Gwa, (455)miles Southwest of Kyaukpyu, Myanmar and (205)miles Southeast of Visakhapatnam and (305)miles East of Machillipatnam, India. It is forecast to move West-Southwest wards and it will weaken into a depression during next (24)hours. Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35)m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
