BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:00)hrs M.S.T today, the deep depression over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal has moved to West-Northwest wards and intensified into a cyclonic storm “KYANT”. It is centered at about (200)miles West-Northwest of Pathein, (200)miles West-Southwest of Gwa, (195)miles Southwest of Kyaukpyu, Myanmar and (460)miles East - Southeast of Visakhapatnam, India. Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago Region, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan (East and North) and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay and Magway Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced in the Delta, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Rakhine States.
