BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over East Central Bay and adjoining over Southeast Bay of Bengal remained practically stationary. It is centered at about (200)miles West of Coco-Island (Myanmar). (330)miles West-Southwest of Pathein (Myanmar), (400) miles West-Southwest of Yangon(Myanmar) and (220) miles West- Northwest of Portblair(India). It is forecast to move to East-Northeast wards and further intiensify into a cyclonic storm during next (48)hrs.Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd October, 2016: Weather is partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Rakhine State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
