SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Sagaing Region, Kachin and Kayah States, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Shan and Rakhine States, scattered in Chin State, fairly widespread in Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Nauntone (2.70)inches, Yangon (North Dagon) (2.36)inches, Tharrawady and Kungyangon (2.25)inches each, Hinthada (1.97)inches, Myeik (1.81) inches, Zalun (1.65) inches, Thaton (1.53)inches, Central Yangon (1.50)inches and Bago (1.45)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the North, West Central and South West Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yanogn, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago Region, scattered in Shan (East and South), Rakhine and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions and Rakhine State.
