SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan and Rakhine States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan (North and South) States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Sittwe (7.95)inches, Kyauktaw (2.48)inches, Maungdaw (2.32) inches, Myauk U (1.81) inches, Paletwa (1.69)inches, Hkamti (1.61)inches and Belin (1.18)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States, scattered in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
