SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region, Shan (North and East ) State, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Bago Regions and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Thandwe (5.19)inches, Kayukpyu (4.21)inches, Paing Kyone (4.13)inches, Kawthong (4.05)inches, Sittwe (3.86)inches, Khayan (3.46)inches, Hmawbi (2.48)inches and Taungkok (2.20) inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Bago Regions and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State.
