BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd September, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, Shan, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
