01-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Southwestwards and crossed North Tamil Nadu coast near Puducherry(India) and downgraded into a Deep depression. It is likely to move continuously West-Southwestwards and crossing the interior of Tamil Nadu(India). The centre pressure of Cyclonic Storm is 994 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 50 miles per hour. Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Tropical Storm “NOUL” warning (No.03/2020)

Issued at (19:00) hours M.S.T on 18- 9-2020

According to the observations at (17:30) hrs MST today, the tropical storm

“NOUL” has crossed over Laos and now lies over Thailand. It is moving

West ward and forecast continues to move West-Northwest wards as a

land depression and then reach to Kayah, Kayin and Mon States

(Myanmar) on (19.9.2020).

General Caution

            Due to the Tropical Storm “NOUL", rain or thundershowers 
will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, 
Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern
 Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of 
regionally heavy falls and isolated heavy falls from tonight to 
(22.9.2020).
Advisory
Due to tropical storm “NOUL”, people should be aware heavy rainfall 
with strong wind, flash flood and landslide near the hilly areas and 
also small rivers.
