BAY INFERENCE: According to the ovservations at (15:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It may further intensify into a depression during next (24)hours. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 9th August, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h.
