SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During
the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State, rain or
thundershowers have been widespread in Lower Sagaing and Ayeyarwady
Regions, Kachin and Nouthern Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay,
Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and
scattered in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls
in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were
Moekok (3.19)inches, Pinlebu (2.09)inches, Yangon (North Dagon)
(1.81)inches, Katha (1.53)inches, Myitkyina and Nyaunglaybin (1.45)
inches each, Hinthada (1.26)inches and Central Yangon (1.10)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South
Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 21stJuly, 2016: Rain or
thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin,
Northern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing,
Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, (Eastern
and Southern) Shan, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in the remaining
Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing
Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain
in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States.
