SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Kachin and (Eastern and Northern) Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hkamti (5.39) inches, Moekok (2.36)inches, Myitkyina (1.66)inches, Phyarpon (1.06)inches, Aunglan (0.67)inch and Lashio (0.59)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region, Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
