24-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

         A low pressure area may form over the Bay of Bengal. Monsoon  will be moderate over the Andaman Sea and  Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy days

         Rain or thundershowers are likely above normal in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about normal in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and below normal in the remaining Regions and States.

         Rainy days are expected about (4) to (6) days in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayah State and about (7) to (9) days in the remaining Regions and States.
