SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region, Eastern Shan, Chin and Kayah States, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Southern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw , Kachin and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and  regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Launglone (6.93)inches, Dawei (4.96)inches, Kyeikkhame(3.90)inches, Belin (3.58)inches, Yay (3.15)inches, Hkamti (3.07)inches, Gaw and Kawthong  (2.95)inches each, Patheingyi (Agro) (2.45)inches and Thaton (2.12) inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 1st July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 1st July, 2016: Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).
