22-12-2024:According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal almost stataionary and weaken into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely forecast to weaken gradually over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Thaninthayi Region and Kayin State, scattered in Shan and Mon States, isolated in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions, Chin  State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyainseikkyi (2.81) inches, Hpa –an  (1.73)inches, Thaton and Mawlamyine (1.57)inches each, Chaungsone (1.54)inches  and Loilin (1.22)inches.  

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 19th October, 2015: Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kachin State, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region, Shan, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of  rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
