22-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach to Southwest Bay of Bengal(North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts)India during 24-12-2024. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal partly and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T. During the past (24) hours, light rain have been isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State, weather has been partly cloudy in Shan State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were about February average temperatures in the whole country. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (3°C) in Namsam, (4°C) in Loilin and (5°C) in Pinlaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded was Bhamo (0.04)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 2nd February, 2015: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States, weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Mon State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight increase of night temperatures in the Southern Myanmar areas.
