22-12-2024:According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal almost stataionary and weaken into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely forecast to weaken gradually over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Chin and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Nay Pyi Taw and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyeikkhame (7.80)inches, Yay (7.24)inches, Taungkok (3.54)inches, Chaungsone (3.39)inches, Launglon (2.87)inches, Thaton (2.24)inches, Kyeikmayaw (2.20)inches,  Paung (2.17)inches and Ann (2.01)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy in the North Bay, monsoon is strong in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26th September, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Rakhine and Kayin States, scattered in Nay Pyi Taw, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwday Regions and Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30 - 35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
