SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan, Chin and Kayah States, scattered in Ayeyarwady Region, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Gwa (3.66)inches, Maungdaw (3.15)inches, Putao (2.80)inches, Khayan (2.20)inches, Ann (2.00)inches and Hkamti (1.81) inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 31st August, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in the Kachin State and Upper Sagaing Region.
