SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Chin and Kayah States, scattered in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Shan State, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Zalun (2.05)inches, Paung (2.01)inches, Hlaingbwe (1.97)inches, Putao (1.85)inches, Pyinoolwin and Thaton (1.66)inches each, Kyaukpyu and Zaung Tu (1.46)inches each and Myitkyina (1.42)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 30th August, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States.
