SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hakmti (4.33)inches, Kyeikmayaw (3.30)inches, Kyeikkhame (2.48)inches, Chaungsone (2.36)inches, Putao (2.20)inches, Okkan and Kyainseikkyi (2.18)inches each, Zauhg Tu (2.13)inches and Launglone (2.05)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over West Central Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is weak in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 29th August, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy fall in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
