Bay of Bengal Condition
Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Southern Myanmar Areas during (18-23) of May, Deltaic Areas during (24-28) of May and Central Myanmar Areas during (29) of May to (3) of June. Two Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into the Depression. During this monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
Rain Conditions and Rainy Days
Rain or Thundershower will be expected above normal in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State, below normal in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine States and about normal in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
Rainy days will be expected 16 to 22 days in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States and 10 to 15 days in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago, Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States.
Day Temperature
Day temperature will be (1.5 °C) above normal temperature of May in Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and about normal temperature of May in Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan and Chin States.
