SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Chaungsone (5.47)inches, Mawlamyine (4.85)inches, Thaton (4.68)inches, Mudon (4.25)inches, Paung (4.13)inches and Hkamti (2.96)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over West Central Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is moderate in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th August, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy fall in Kachin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in the Kachin State.
