SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Shan State, scattered in Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Kachin State, fairly widespread in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyaukpyu (7.84)inches, Hkamti (4.10)inches, Sittwe (4.07)inches, Putao (3.23) inches, Paletwa (2.95)inches, Kyauktaw (2.76)inches, Maungdaw and Ann (2.06)inches each and Myauk U (1.97)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 21st August, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin and Kayin States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Chin and Rakhine States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
