SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain has been scattered in Taninthayi Region, weather has been generally fair in Napyitaw, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah and Kayin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Rakhine State, (2°C) below January average temperature in Ayeyarwady Region and Chin State, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (2°C) each in Heho and Ramthlo, (3°C) each in Pinlaung and Loilin, (4°C) each in Putao, Thipaw, Namsam, Tiddim, Tongzan and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded was Kawthaung (0.28)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th January, 2019: Rain will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Eastern Shan State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
