SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Shan and Chin States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Ann (8.34)inches, Maungdaw (7.52)inches, Sittwe and Myauk U (6.89) inches each, Kyauktaw (6.50)inches, Paletwa (5.75) inches, Kyaukpyu (5.47)inches, Thandwe (4.84)inches, Paung (4.65)inches, Mawlamyine  (4.60) inches, Taungkok (4.49) inches, Khayan (4.29) inches, Kyeikkhame (4.17) inches, Thaton (3.90) inches, Myaungmya (3.66) inches, Kyaukhtu and Chaungsone (3.54) inches each and Central Yangon (3.50) inches.        

                                                                                                                                                                                                    

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observation at (13:30) hrs MST today, a low pressure area over Northeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours.Monsoon is moderate to strong in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and vigorous elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 27th July, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be  fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan and Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (45) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in the Central Myanmar areas.
