SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Shan, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Magway and Bago Regions, Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Singu (10.48)inches, Kyauktaw (9.25)inches, Thabeikkyin (8.62)inches, Moekok (6.69)inches, Sittwe (5.79)inches, Thaton (4.48)inches, Moemate (3.98)inches, Ann and Khayan (3.75)inches each, Belin (3.70) inches, Shwebo and Maungdaw (3.66) inches each, Naungcho (3.58) inches and Thipaw (3.54)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26th July, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kachin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Shan State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough sea will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in the Central Myanmar areas.
