SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Sagaing, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, scattered in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Bago Region and Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine and Kayin States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Theinzayat (5.00) inches, Gwa and Paung (4.88)inches each, Shwegyin (4.84)inches, Taunggu (Aviation) (4.57)inches, Kyeikkhame (4.06)inches, Hlaingbwe (3.54)inches, Nyaunglaybin (3.27)inches, Kawthong (3.07)inches and Madauk (2.76)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 15th July, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin State and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in the Northern Myanmar areas.
