21-12-2024:According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal continues has moved East-Northeastwards. It is centered at about 510 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 230 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Visakhapatnam (India). The centre pressure of Depression is (1003) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (16:30)hrs MST today, due to the convergence of warm air from the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and cold air from the China hight pressure system and the remanent of Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal, rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine State and scattered to fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Shan States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls today evening upto 23-12-2024.

 People should be awared the natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, Lightning strike, lightning, hails, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and inland water transport and domestic flight.
