SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagiang Region and Northern Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway and Yangon Regions, Rakhine and Kayin States, fairly widespread in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Machanbaw (2.91)inches, Putao (2.72)inches, Naypyitaw Airport (Ela) (1.69)inches, Pyinmana (1.62) inches and Naypyitaw (Datkhinathiri) (1.58)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weather is partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st October, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan and Rakhine States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States.
