SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State, scattered in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Chin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Putao (4.01)inches, Myitsone (1.85)inches, Payathonsu (1.65)inches, Mogaung (1.57)inches, Tiddim (1.34)inches, Paungbyin (0.98)inch, Pinlaung (0.94)inch, Yangon(Kaba-Aye) (0.91)inch, Heho (0.87)inch, Taunggyi, Ann and Phyarpon (0.83)inch each and Gangaw (0.79)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
