BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the deep depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal has crossed near Digha (India) It is forecast to move West-Northwestwards and weaken gradually . Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 7th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State and fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Kachin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak to moderate monsoon.
