SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Chin, Rakhine and Kayin States and isolated heavy falls in Mandalay and Magway Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Ann (6.34)inches, Sittwe (5.94)inches, Paletwa (5.31)inches, Matupi (5.16)inches, Kyaukpyu(5.00)inches, Kamamaung (4.65)inches, Manaung (4.33)inches, Taungkok (4.29)inches, Kataingti (3.74)inches, Hpapun (3.42)inches, Kyauktaw (3.39) inches, Mogoke (3.27)inches and Myauk U (3.07)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th JUNE, 2018: Rain will be widespread in the whole country with regionally heavy falls in Magway Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10 - 15) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
