SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been widespread in Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Chin and Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan States, isolated in Magway, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Kayin States and weather is partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States Day temperatures were (5°C) below May average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Eastern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, (2°C) below May average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (39°C)each in Magway and Bawlakhae, (38°C)each in Ann and Tharrawady. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Thaton (1.50)inches, Manaung (1.02)inches, Madauk (0.98)inch, Thipaw (0.79)inch, Shwekyin (0.67)inch, Kyaukmae (0.63)inch, Paletwa and Phyarpon (0.51)inch each, Paung (0.47)inch, Minesat, Hakha and Kyeikmayaw (0.39) inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th MAY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3- 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
