24-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Water level forecast for First   (10) days of May 2018

            The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to rise about (5-6) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha and Thabeikkyin, and about (3-4) feet at Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku and Nyaung Oo, and about (1-2) feet Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun during the first (10) days of  May.

          The water levels of Chindwin river are forecast to rise about (3-4) feet at Hkamti, Homalin and Phaungpyin, and about (1-2)feet at Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa during the first (10) days of May.
