SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Kachin and Shan States, scattered in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) below April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, (5°C) to (6°C) below April average temperatures in Eastern Shan and Chin States, (3°C) to (4°C) below April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) each in Minbu and Aunglan. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kengtung (2.68) inches, Naypyitaw (Tatkon) (1.65) inches, Kyaukse (0.90) inch and Pathein (0.86) inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 27th April, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30) to (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers in the Nothern Myanmar areas.
