SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, Rain or thundershower have been isolated in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah and Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Kachin and Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regional heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region. Day temperatures were 3°C above April average temperature in Kachin State, 2°C above April average temperature in Kayah State, 2°C below April average temperatures in Yangon, Bago Regions and Chin State, 3°C to 4°C below April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 39.4°C in Chauk, 39.0°C each in Nyaunglaybin, Kawkareik, 38.4°C each in Aunglan, Myawaddy, 38.2°C in Shwekyin, 38.0°C each in Taunggu, Taungdwingyi and 37.5°C each in Tharrawady, Theinzayet on 15-4-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.03 inches in Myitnge, 2.72 inches in Patheingyi, 2.60 inches each in Mandalay, Meiktila, 2.44 inches in Mandalay(Chanayethasan), 2.40 inches in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), 2.16 inches in Pyinoolwin(Zeepingyi), 1.73 inches in Sagaing, 1.50 inches in Kawkareik, 1.34 inches in Mandalay(Aungmyaythasan) and 1.26 inches in Nyaung Shwe.

BAYINFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea, Southeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th April 2025: Rain or thundershower will be scattered in Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine and Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershower will be scattered to fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
