SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain have been widespread in Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Yangon Region and Mon State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Eastern Shan States and isolated in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Rakhine , Southern Shan States and  weather partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C above April average temperature in Kachin State, 2°C above April average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, 2°C below April average temperatures in Yangon, Bago Regions, Kayah, Rakhine States, 3°C to 4°C below April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions, 5°C to 6°C below April average temperatures in Magway Region and Southern Shan State, 8°C below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.6°C in Myawaddy, 40.2°C in Chauk, 40.0°C in Kawkareik, 39.0 °C in Nyaunglaybin, 38.8°C in Mawlamyine, 38.5°C each in Thaton and Mudon, 38.0 °C each in Kalewa, Hpan-an and Belin on 7-4-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.42 inches in Bago, 1.26 inches in Myawaddy, 1.02 inches in Khayan, 0.98 inch in Coco- Island, 0.79 inch in Mudon, 0.71 inch in Thaton, 0.63 inch in Tharrawady, 0.51 inch in Shwekyin, 0.43 inch in Monywa and 0.39 inch each in Phyu and Kyeikmayaw.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observation at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southwest and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards and further intensified into a well marked low pressure area over Southwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move North-northwestwards. Thereafter, it is likely to recurve North-Northeastwards and weaken gradually over Central Bay of Bengal on 10-4-2025. Weather is partly cloud over the Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th April 2025: Rain will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachine State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and fairly widespread  in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershower scattered in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Shan States.
