SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Southern Shan State, scattered in Chin, Eastern Shan States and isolated in Mandalay Region. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above March average temperatures in Kachin, Kayin States and 2°C above March average temperatures in Bago Region and Rakhine State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.5°C in Kawkareik, 40.4°C in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 40.2°C in Chauk, 39.7°C in Shwekyin, 39.5°C in Nyaunglaybin, 39.4°C each in Zaung Tu and Bago, 39.3°C in Taunggu and 39.2°C each in Pyay, Sinbyugyun and Myawaddy on 25-3-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.28 inch in Taunggyi, 0.24 inch each in Hakha and Pinlaung, 0.08 inch each in Tiddim, Heho and Nyaung Shwe and 0.04 inch in Thazi(Hlaingtat).
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th March 2025: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Northern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions.
